House of Fellowship’s Singai Camp 2011

Mount Singai is a wonderful place for devotion, I never dream of having a camp here with my cell group members.  Our cell group had a camp on Mount Singai on the 30th of September to 2nd October 2011, the theme is “We are chosen”. The cell group today is known as House of Fellowship, we started it in year 2009 with members of 9. When I first come to UNIMAS, I wish I could participate in the Christian Fellowship here in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. I was approached by senior that brings us to join local church, it was exciting for me, and I let the Lord lead my way. Then, I think about other students that are not from the same denominations, who would care for them? We don’t have student’s Christian fellowship here for us to support each other.

As time goes by, I continue to pray that the Lord will make a way to bring revival to this place. I found few friends that have the same desire, to gather and to fellowship with each other. Praise God, we have place and we plan a time for us to gather to praise and worship Him as well as sharing His word.  I am encouraged by these verses,

Hebrew 10:25, Let us not give meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Matthew 4:4, Jesus answered, “it is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

House of Fellowship is not about the effort, hard work or knowledge of how we start it, it is a gift from God for His glory and we are willing to accept this gift. It begins with about 9 students and now we have about up to 70 members.

We have a wonderful time at Mount Singai, praise God for His grace and mercy. We have devotions, talks, BBQ, praise and worship sessions and lots more. I would like to thank my lecturers for the supports that they gave especially Mdm. Rose Nanju and Ms. Jane Buncuan for the Singai Camp. I would also want to thank my brother, Lyon Mackenzie for his willingness to organize this camp, good job Lyon. To all of the House of Fellowship’s members, well done, continue to be mature in faith for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Continue to serve Him, because we know that what we do for Him is not in vain as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Keep House of Fellowship in prayer so that we will continue to shine for Him and to be blessings to others. Once again, thanks for all of the supports and prayers.
